For our troops... fighting the war.... I am placing this on my site because of the war... and to give the troops the respect they deserve. I may not be able to do much to aid them in what they are going through but at least I can recognize them and let them know what they are in my thoughts... |

For the troops - Courage is not the absebce of fear... it is the presence of fear... yet having the willingness and strength to carry on and move forth to your goals. This is one thing that I see in our troops and I am proud to see the way they are standing up for our country. Good luck to those who are fighting for the freedom of others and those who are waiting to be sent over. And may we always remember those who were lost in battle. |
| For the families... Every man or woman fighting the war is a son, a daughter, a mom or maybe even a dad. An aunt an uncle, a cousin a friend .... I know what its like to sit and have your heart ripped out wondering what if your kin is dead or alive and I want everyone to know that we need to stay strong and no matter what we need to support our kin, as well as our next of kin... and may everyone be returned home to us safely. |

Don't be a loser.... Everyone is going to have thier opinions about the war. Weather is it is ANIT WAR or PRO WAR ... DON"T forget that either way we have people putting thier lives on the line to help others retain freedom and have a better life. Just because they are not part of our country they are human beings too. Voice your opinion if you must but I would like to say ... I am NOT pro war OR anti war ... I am ANTI Saddam and PRO America. Either way lets all just hope we come out on top and our goals are achived so lives will not be lost for nothing. And always remember ... Love and Peace is better then War and Anger. |

This was originally a rant, but I thought it would be better for this page.... it's called "Inspiration" by DVUS13 What is this thing that exists in the human soul that begs to be lifted up among the gods? This one moment, spoken phrase, or witnessed event that becomes the turning point of a lifetime is different for us all. For some, that moment may be thrust upon them. For others, that moment may come as the final piece of a long-hatched plan. Regardless of circumstance, each one of us will have that moment of inspiration. The question that may weigh heavy on the mind of some of us is, ╤В╨Р╨мHave I seen it yet?╤В╨Р╨н If you have not been inspired, then seek inspiration in the victories of others. Make your life what you wish it to be and not follow the path that this world and your surroundings may seem to dictate. I challenge you all, each and every one of you, to make yourself a hero. This world is in dire need of heroes. Those angels among us that make themselves a standing example of what is right with the world are in short supply. I challenge you to tread heavily on the soil. Make your mark on the life of someone within your reach. Nothing that you do is insignificant if you choose to make the effort to impact another person every day. Be it positive or negative, the way that you choose to react to people and situations carries weight. Have you ever taken an interest in the life of a stranger? The small child that obviously needs new shoes as you shop two aisles away from a rack full of them may need you to be their angel that day. The person that comes up fifty cents short on payment for their gas purchase while you hold a pocket full of change while standing in line behind them may need just that little exhibit of compassion to change their way of thinking. Your efforts make the world a better place to exist upon. Have you taken the time to ask that the rude person at the table near you in the Olive Garden to calm down and be considerate of the staff? Have you asked politely that the person whose children╤В╨Р╨йs loud talking during a movie is disturbing you and others to perhaps let them know that is the case? Have you picked up a piece of trash on the sidewalk and ...Screw it! Look, people usually don╤В╨Р╨йt consider any action beyond the direct consequence of that action for themselves. Don╤В╨Р╨йt be that person! Be the person that a child witnesses placing a piece of trash into an appropriate receptacle. Be that person that holds the door for another person holding an armload of packages. Be that person that asks politely for a missing fork. In short, people are watching you and drawing inspiration from your actions. DON╤В╨Р╨йT be an asshole! You can inspire by your actions. Think back, can you remember the first adult that treated you, as a child, like crap? Were they rude? Did they scare you? RIGHT! You still remember that idiot! If you act like an idiot, someone will remember you too! |
